Just recently i was driving on the road and my tire came off my car. I took it to my mechanic because i just got new tires. They said since the threading on the wheels was not worn someone must have tried to steal my tires. At first I did not believe this because i had new tires for two weeks. I drive a 2004 honda civic and i have an alarm and a sticker on the car that says so, but i as well usually keep my change open and my radio in the car as well as my sunglasses. I park my car on the road near my house, and this theory made me realize other factors. I have tire locks on my car. Recently the driver side door handle has been squeaking randomly. The front bumper panel underneath is missing, I thought it feel off. The panels around the tires have gone missing on both sides, so I can see directly through the motor of my car. And I have an expensive body kit on my car that has mysteriously come a little loose and the bump looks broken. There are also mysterious little brown rust on my car. car insurance. I drove my truck to the store one night and it ran fine, the next morning i went to head to work and when i turned the truck over it made a ticking noise repeatedly(tick,tick,tick,tick,tick)... I work as a construction mechanic in the U.S. Navy, so i'm frequent with similar problems, so i figured it was the alternator. So i replaced the alternator, charged the battery and she turned over fine, except sounded sluggish. I jumped in and started to drive it around the block. It died about 30-50 yards down the road. I did some trouble shooting myself and checked the fuel pump, replaced the fuel filter, and cleaned the fuel injectors... it still happens, a friend of mine heard a sucking noise from under the hood whenever i hit the gas, i cant seem to locate where its coming from. So the symptoms i'm having now are a delay when i hit the gas, the sucking noise from under the hood(almost like a cold air intake), and it stalls out after i get about 30-50 yards down the road...Please help, i'm trying to avoid losing more money than i need to... car insurance. MINI . Clearcoat Scratch RemovalScratches are an unfortunate inevitability of owning an automobile and can decrease the visual appeal of the car. To help protect the vehicle's paint, a clear coat finish is applied over the paint. Although the clear coat is quite durable, it too is susceptible to scratches. Electronic buffers are available, but these buffers are expensive and impractical for removing scratches from a part of a vehicle. Thankfully, a chemical called rubbing compound is a much more affordable option for repairing scratches on clear coat finishes. Preparing the Scratched Surface Before using the rubbing compound, it is important to first prepare the damaged surface. To avoid scratching the area further, wash the area with automotive car washing soap, then dry and wipe the area down with a clean, lint-free towel. It is also necessary to park the vehicle in a shaded area. If the vehicle has been sitting in direct sunlight, allow the scratched surface to cool. Using the Rubbing Compound Apply an approximately quarter-size amount of rubbing compound onto a clean, lint-free towel. Rub the compound over the scratched area in a circular motion while firmly pressing downward for about one minute. Allow the rubbing compound a minute or two to dry. Once dry, the compound will resemble white chalk. Wipe the dried compound off of the area with a clean, lint-free towel to complete the repair.
MINI . How to Remove Scratches in ClearcoatScratches on a car's clear coat can be frustrating. They can mar the surface and reduce the appearance of your car. Luckily, if your car has a few scratches in the clear coat of the paint job, there are ways to repair them. It takes some preparation and a fair amount of tedious work, but it is relatively easy to do. Difficulty:Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Shoe polish or white out 2,000- to 3,000-grit wet/dry sandpaper Rubber sanding block Water Rubbing Compound Buffer or terrycloth washcloth Car wax Step by Step : 1 Apply a contrasting material like shoe polish or white out into the scratch of your car's finish. The scratch should hold the polish and become clearly visible in the paint job. This will help you to see the scratch and stop sanding at the correct time as you sand it smooth. 2 Sand the scratch until the shoe polish disappears. Use the rubber sanding block and 2,000-grit wet/dry sandpaper to sand the panel of your car. Make sure to use plenty of water to avoid doing serious damage to the paint job. Do not sand through to the next layer of paint. 3 Apply a rubbing compound to the scratched area. Using a buffer or a terrycloth washcloth, buff the rubbing compound into the scratched area. Be careful to not buff through to the next layer of paint. Finish the job by buffing lightly by hand. 4 Apply car wax to the area to seal the panel and finish the job. If your carburetor doesn't respond to any of the adjustments in this chapter and is still causing your vehicle to stall, accelerate improperly, burn enor mous quantities of gasoline, and so on; and if the inside of your carburetor looks foul and gunky, you may want to have it rebuilt. Kia Spectra. * reassemble the carburetor can be very difficult. An easier — and probably cheaper — way to deal with the problem yourself is to replace the carburetor with a new or rebuilt model, following the instructions later in this chapter. Checking your accelerator pump If your vehicle hesitates when you step on the gas pedal, your accelerator pump may not be working properly. Here's how the accelerator pump causes your car to speed up when you step on the gas pedal: When you step on the pedal, a rod connecting the pedal to a little lever, called the accelerator pump arm, which is located on the outside of the carburetor, pushes on a little piston .Chapter 13: Keeping Your Fuel System in Tune 27 7 inside the carburetor, which squirts a little extra fuel into the carburetor venturi. (See Figure 13-10.) That extra fuel creates a richer fuel/air mixture, which provides the extra power for acceleration. If your accelerator pump isn't working properly, your carburetor probably needs to be rebuilt or replaced. MINI . 95 s420 code wont work for radio after battery was disconnected?

If the accelerator pump arm moves freely when someone steps on the gas pedal, take a look down the carburetor barrel to see whether fuel is squirting in when the accelerator pump arm moves. If there's no fuel action, the carburetor probably needs to be rebuilt (which involves taking it apart, cleaning it, and replacing various parts) or replaced.
